My name is Matt and I have been a member of LEFPD since September of 1998. I first joined as a volunteer and started working part time shifts in 1999 after completing and becoming a state certified EMT-B, and shortly after an EMT-I. Along with working shifts at LEFPD I also worked full time as an EMT at several different private ambulance services until 2006 when I became a full time shift worker. A few years later I went back to school for EMT-Paramedic which I completed and became state certified in 2012. After completing the Paramedic program I was promoted to a Lieutenant. In October of 2013 I was promoted to a Shift Commander of the Gold shift. I am married to a wonderful woman and we have 4 kids (9mo, 8, 9, and 13).

  • Lieutenant Brady Crane

    Member since August 2008

Hello my name is Brady.  I started with the Lake of Egypt Fire Protection District as an Explorer in April 2006.  I have since progressed with the fire district to a career member in October of 2011.  I have grown up around the fire service, as his father is a volunteer firefighter with Makanda Township Fire Department.  In March of 2013, I obtained my IDPH EMT- Paramedic license.  On top of the Paramedic/Firefighter duties, I handle most of the administrative duties for the fire district.  Also, I serve as a technician for the MABAS division 45 Hazardous Materials team.  I am currently Advanced Technician Firefighter certified and am pursuing my Officer I certification to hopefully advance through the ranks here at LEFPD.  I look forward to spending the rest of my career with the Lake Egypt Fire Protection District.
