Water Rescue / Dive Team

Currently the Lake Egypt Fire Protection District is in the process of going through the most recent and updated water rescue training.  With more and more people getting out on the water and enjoying the nice days of summer comes a higher risk of water injuries as well.  We have made some changes over the past few years in water rescue.  We have upgraded to a newer 20' boat, new life preservers and other critical equipment to get the job done.  Look for us on the water this year doing training!

Mutual Aid Box Alarm System Specialized Teams

Also referred to as MABAS, its combined of specially trained members from multiple departments that come together to help the region as a whole.  There are two main specialty response teams based locally with assets spread across the southern part of Illinois.  Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue teams are based out of Marion and Herrin as it is a central location for the response area.
