Hiring Process

Here at Lake Egypt Fire Protection District we test to update the eligibility list every two years.  What this means is that there is a running list of eligible candidates if and when a position comes open.  

The three stages of the eligibility list:

Physical Agility Test- all testing candidates shall pass the physical agility test set forth by the agreed upon by Lake Egypt Fire Protection District.

Written Exam- a written exam shall be taken, in which all candidates shall score at least a 70% to move onto the next phase.

Interview- A oral interview with the Board of Trustees and Chief Officers shall take place if and when a position comes open.
